Jacobite history on the Road to the Isles
This area of Lochaber has a formidable history when you consider that some of the events to happen here hundeds of years ago were ultimately responsible for the way the United Kingdom came to be.
The Jacobites, the French, the English, the Highland clans and the Clan Cameron in particular and of course Charles Edward Stuart - Bonnie Prince Charle have all played their part.
The building of the West Highland Line in the 1890s was hugely significant to the way people travelled and traded with other areas on Scotland and beyond.
